I am an Identity Management Consultant at Nulli Secundus Inc.. I work on identity management solutions including Federation, Access Management, Identity Provisioning, etc. I recently received my PhD in Computer Science from University of Calgary. The title of my PhD dissertation was A View-Based Protection Model to Prevent Inference Attacks by Third-Party Extensions to Social Computing Platforms. I used to be a member of Institute for Security, Privacy and Information Assurance (ISPIA), and iCORE Information Security Laboratory (The iCIS Lab).
My family, and relatives call me Hossein, but my colleagues know me by Seyed, just to avoid confusion.

        • Designed and developed a Facebook third-party extension (in Javascript/AJAX/MySQL) that automate inferring users' inaccessible information, such as their partner's name, hometown, etc., from their public information; demonstrated a subtle privacy threat associated to extensions to social computing platforms (more info in my webpage).
        • Proposed a view-based information-sharing framework for extension API of social computing platforms to protect user profiles against inference attacks; awarded four consecutive Department Research Awards and a Google Research Award for this project.
        • Develop a secure wrapper (in Python and Haskell), with a content-based and fine-grained authorization mechanism, for social computing platforms API, to allow users to share a transformation of their profiles with 3rd-party extensions.

        • Develop a highly secure cloud solution, called SkyShare, to enable users of cloud services to securely use such services with no need of encryption keys; enhanced speed and security compared to the existing popular cloud solutions such as DropBox and GoogleDrive (Prototype ready for download at novelsec.com for Windows, Mac, and Linux).
